Reverse engineering

We turn an existing part into a 3D CAD model and production documentation.

It is the way to go when the original documentation is lost or never existed, or when you want to improve the part and produce it again. It’s not just about making a faithful copy: from the measured data we modify the part or design mating parts and complete assemblies from scratch that fit the existing part exactly – taking both function and appearance into account (industrial design).

We work with parts from a few millimetres to several metres. We capture the part’s dimensions with a 3D scanner and with classic measuring tools – calipers, radius gauges, feeler gauges and more. We design the CAD models in SolidWorks 2025 and Fusion 360.

How it works: we scan and measure the part, build the 3D CAD model, compare it with the scan and, if needed, print a test piece. You get data ready for production – with us or with your own supplier.
